I've been in touch with Steve on a few occasions now for help with data wrangling for university research. I'm located on the other side of the world but we've managed to book times that suit us both. On every occasion he's been super helpful and has definitely helped expedite some of the more tedious parts of data management! Particularly helpful is the depth of experience he has, so even when using a new package or function, it never takes him long to find out what the possible errors might be. I got in touch with Steve to organise some tutoring with R for some Masters level university research. After some brief chats to discuss the issue I needed to address (Fuzzy String Matching) I booked a slot for tutoring. Steve's R skills are seriously impressive and he was able to work through the tutorials and packages we'd found very smoothly, explaining what was going on along the way. As someone from a non-data science background this was super helpful and it was also neat to learn/observe how he dealt with issues and errors along the way. Steve has helped me with R studio a few times now and I would highly recommend him for anyone struggling. Steve is incredibly patient and persistent, he will make sure all the work you need is done to a high standard. But he is also really good at explaining his thought process as well as the actual steps, so you will leave with a solid understanding of how and why you have your solutions.
